Hi all! I’m Rohan, a visitor from Mumbai, India, to your beautiful Cities. I’ve been here for the last couple months on an assignment with a major airline. The Cities, as much as my loneliness, have inspired me to revive my one-post-blog ’til some time back, Window Seat. I now post pics, audio, and video on my blog regularly, and they’ve all got to do with Mpls-St. P.

After hours and on the weekends, I’m out on the streets (never mind the heat) with my inexpensive Taiwan make digicam (OK, maybe Chinese was a good guess) in tow. I have often found myself hounding perfect strangers for sound bytes/interviews, and having got what I want, I put these up online as part of The Cinnamon Metro Show.

Anyway, so that’s me…visitor, away from family, blogging to keep out of trouble. Now here’s what I have – today at work, I unknowingly purchased a plate of watermelon for $5+! Even the girl at the counter had a “Wow!” when she weighed it. I cannot imagine buying such expensive fruit – and it wasn’t heaped or anything – that I could wolf down in minutes. Maybe it was just the water making it heavy, but…(speechless!). Another lady in the queue reminded me that maybe I wouldn’t want to buy that thing again!

Lady, I’ll take your advice – I’m off watermelon for the rest of my stay in the Twin Cities. I chose to rant in my first post – and maybe I could apologize for that – but you can imagine my horror.
