Minnesota Vixen Season Opener

I’ve been waiting for this Saturday for a while. The Minnesota Vixen open their season with a game against Thee Toledo Reign. Both teams are part of the Women’s Professional Football League (WPFL).

According to the Vixen website, they “are posed to get revenge for the loss they suffered in the final game of the 2005 regular season, the first loss to the Reign in franchise history”. Sounds like it could be an intense game for only a $10 adult admission!

They’ve also announced their new roster. Check it out so you can pick out your favorite player. Then, show up at Klas Field (Hamline University’s football field) Saturday for the game to cheer her on to victory. The game starts at 7:05 PM, with gates opening at 6:00 PM.

The Vixen only have four home games this year, so don’t miss out on any of them!

Ooh, I’d like to go see them play. But there’s a Lynx game at the same time. None of their other games conflict, though, so I’ll make sure I catch one of those.

I can only make it to two of the Vixen game… which I guess a 50% attendance rate isn’t too bad!
