Ranking the Suburbs

CNNMoney.com ranks three Twin Cities suburbs in the Top 100 Places to Live. Based on things like affordable housing, plentiful leisure activities and cultural options, job growth, and crime rate, Eden Prairie cracked the Top Ten, placing #10.

Eagan landed at the #12 spot on the list, with Blaine falling in at #54.

Considering movie theaters and ski resorts are two of the items included when judging “culture”, there may be some concern with that portion of the ratings.

However, who knew there were 2,551 restaurants located within 15 miles of Blaine?

All those restaurants “near Blaine” are actually in Maple Grove and Northeast Minneapolis.

Within 15 miles? Yep, that’d definitely classify those two places!

Eden Prairie? Seriously. I hate Eden Prairie. It’s just so… perfect. All bland and suburban. I like my cities a little gritty.

A friend of mine attended Eden Prairie High School…I tease him mercilessly about being a cake eater. Heh.
