No, really. The Lynx are fun to watch!

Last Sunday was the first Minnesota Lynx game I’d been to for a few years. By winning it in such dramatic fashion, it easily sucked me in to hitting more games - like today’s game against the L.A. Sparks.

Last time the Sparks were in town, the Lynx trashed them 114-71. Today was close, but the Lynx couldn’t keep up with the first place Sparks, eventually losing 90-78.

I don’t really expect the crowds to be anywhere the size of a Timberwolves crows. It’s a bunch of women running up and down the court, and they can’t dunk anyway, right? No. Wrong! Granted, there’s no LeBron James scoring 31 points per game.

There is Seimone Augustus, though, who ranks in the top 10 in 10 different WNBA statistical catagories. And there are no-look passes and three-pointers with a hand in the face. There are unruly fans that throw insults at the opposing team (which was most certainly not me today) and players that argue with the refs. There’s a center that’ll knock the opposition flat on the floor and a first round draft pick that can take anyone else in the league to school. So, really, it’s no different than any other basketball game, is it?

It looks like there are only three home games left this year. Take a couple of hours out of your schedule and $10 out of your wallet, and head downtown to watch the Lynx play. It’s a guaranteed good time.
