It’s Too Damn Hot
I like that we get all four seasons here, but I hate that we get the extremes. Last week was nice. Last week was great. 80s and sunny. This week, not so much. 90 and humid. Maybe 100 over the weekend. 90s I can deal with. 100s I’d just stay in my apartment in the a/c. But the damn humidity has got to go.
My 5-mile run last night at dusk was miserable. The humidity had me wheezing, and my allergies had me constantly sneezing and rubbing my nose and eyes. I know I could get up in the morning and do it, but I don’t really do mornings.
And I know I complain in the winter. I’d rather have the heat than the the cold. But still. Wah!
Why do I still live here?

I sometimes wonder why I am here myself. But then I rememeber that we are a frickin’ cool as town and I wouldn’t really want to live anywhere else. I can put up with the extremes for a few months just so I can have this wonderful city. This has not been an advertisement…
I suffer from allergies from Spring to Fall, which really sucks when you’re trying to exercise. Claritin has been my friend this year.
The smog was really bad too when driving into downtown yesterday morning.
You live here because Minneapolis is quickly closing the gap with Atlanta as the coolest City in the United States.
Are we really? Is that the latest list somewhere?
We’re here because we’re too lazy to pack up our things and go… and by the time we have any energy, it’s kinda nice out.
Dave, that’s the best reason I’ve heard yet. Heh.
