Reminder: TC Metblog is looking for new authors!

imametroblogger.gif During the month of July, we’re accepting applications for authors. We’re always looking for fresh perspectives, but we don’t personally know all of you well enough to ask, so here’s your chance to get in on the action!

If you’re reading this, I’m sure you already have a pretty good idea of what the site is about. It’s less “what’s going on around town” and more “what I’m doing and seeing around town.” If you leave your house on a daily basis and you’ve got an opinion, you can write for us.

The main criterion, besides being able to form sentences, is that we’re gonna need you to post at least three times a week. Let me repeat that: 3 posts per week, at least.

We’re not just looking for bloggers in the strict sense of blogging. Are you a journalist looking to get some exposure? Are you a message board denizen looking for another outlet? Or maybe you just want somewhere other than your own blog to talk about the local stuff because most of your readers don’t live here (that’s why I joined).

If any of that sounds good to you, and you can commit to at least 3 posts per week (that’s not as hard as it sounds), email me or drop a comment and we’ll get the ball rolling.

    Hi there,
I have been in Minneapolis since end-May this year on a consulting assignment with Northwest Airlines. I work with an e-learning design and consulting firm in Mumbai, India, and will be here for the next 6 months or so.

I’d be grateful if you look at my blog, Window Seat - http://window-seat.blogspot.com - and tell me whether you could consider me as one of your authors.

I started this blog sometime last year in India and made a total of ONE post. Ever since I’ve been in Mpls, I decided to revive it partially to gainfully employ myself in my free time (staying away from family can drive you nuts!) and partially to document the ‘you-see-it-everyday-but-you-don’t’ things I was seeing out on the streets.

I post everyday - sometimes even a couple each on the weekend - and make use of text, audio, video, and pics to project what I see.

If you like the stuff on Window Seat, maybe you could run some of my posts on the Minneapolis Metblog, which I started following when I got the news that I’d be traveling here. I also follow the Mumbai edition but have never posted to it.

I’d be anxious to hear from you.

    Cheers,
    Rohan.
