Body Found in Canal between Calhoun and Isles

I just heard a blurb on the radio. All I could find in the news so far is this blurb in the Pioneer Press:

A 20-year-old woman’s body was pulled from a Minneapolis lake Sunday morning in what police are calling a suspicious death.

A city park employee found the partially submerged body about 10 a.m. on the north shore of a channel between Lake Calhoun and Lake of the Isles, authorities said. Park police and Hennepin County Water Patrol recovered the body at 12:40 p.m. and turned it over to the medical examiner for an autopsy. The woman’s name was not released.

I go through there all the time. And usually about that time of day on a Sunday, too. Can you imagine strolling through there (and Sunday was a glorious day) and finding that? Yeesh.

UPDATE: They’ve identified the body (via MNspeak). The Strib article doesn’t say anything, but the MPR blurb I heard and the commenters at MNspeak all suggest that alcohol was probably involved.
