Easy Does It
I ran the Easy Does It 5-Miler in Plymouth yesterday. I know we’re all disappointed in the cool weather we’ve had this weekend, but it was great weather for racing. Almost 600 people ran. I was plenty pleased with my time.
I thought it was pretty well organized. The water stop was right at the turnaround point, so you could access it from both sides. There were time callers at miles one, two and three. They had the requisite water, apples, bananas, and cookies at the end. I’ve run races with more snacks and drinks, but I’ve never run a race that didn’t have water, apples, and bananas.
The course itself was nice enough. Past Armstrong High School, through standard Plymouth neighborhoods, mostly off any main roads, and then along the shore of Medicine Lake back to the Hazelden Center for Youth and Family.
So I’d run that one again, except that this is the 25th and last year. Anyone else run it?

Sounds like fun. A friend and I are looking for a fun 5K to do this summer… But we’re not really sure where to start. There are so many.
Ooh, there’s tons of ‘em! One of my favorite places to check for local races is Raceberry Jam.
Last year I did the Aquatennial Torchlight Run in July. The James Page Blubber Run is a good one, too. That’s in August. They didn’t get the info up until a couple weeks before the race, though.
