Via the The Blotter, I came across local blog 7 Minute Miles, which caught my eye (as a beginning runner).

DK mentioned he ran the Get in Gear 10k a couple weekends below, which I also ran with a visiting friend. The weather was miserable, and I think that had a lot to do with my far-better-than-expected time (and PR!) of 56:37. I was trying to get inside out of the damn rain and cold!

Anybody else do Get in Gear? I was excited for it, because it’s a pretty big race and is the first big run of the spring here in Minnesota, but the rain really did put a damper on the experience (so to speak).
