All the hippies were out!

So, I have finally attended my first May Day Parade. I was told two things that I found to be absolutely true. 1) It’s a little hard to describe the parade if you haven’t seen it. Especially if you’ve never seen a show at HOBT. And 2) It’s important to get the newspaper, because it describes the story the parade is telling and you’ll never get what’s going on otherwise.

It was a nice day to be out. It was great to see so many people, and such a mix of people there. The puppets were cool, the fair food was enh. The bands were pretty cool. There was this Brazilian band that was particularly fun and there was a dude in a tie-dyed shirt that was rocking out with some serious hip action.
