3rd time’s the pain in the butt
Yep, you guessed it. Ticket #3 today. I successfully got the first two dismissed, and now I’ll take this one on Monday and get it dismissed as well. I went to lay in wait for the officer today, but he beat me yet again, even though the tickets have been coming later and later in the day. Today’s was at 3:30. I called the 1st precinct, and gave the officer on the phone the badge number. Turns out it’s a foot patrol, not a squad car. The officer on the phone was really nice, and is going to put up the ordinance on the roll call board, and if I continue to get tickets to call back and I’ll get put through to the supervisor.
So one more trip to City Hall, one more ticket to get dismissed and hopefully it’ll be the end of it. If people in other precincts in Minneapolis are getting them, they may want to call their precinct as well.

hmm, Lots of comment spam lately. Anyway, I have an idea for you. I’d print out the ordinance on paper, laminate it and somehow attach it to your seat when you park your moped. Either your seat or somewhere the “ticketer” is sure to see it. I’d be a jerk about it and highlight passages and even put some handwritten notes on it as well, but that’s just me.
Soelo beat me to it: slap that ordinance on your scoot so they can see that it’s a waste of time for them to write another citation.
