“Who What is Minneapolis?” Art Contest

Are you artistic? Do you think you have your finger on the pulse of who or what makes Minneapolis Minneapolis?

Who What is Mpls? is an interactive block party and arts showcase at the 2400 block of Hennepin Avenue in Uptown on May 6th from 6 to 10 pm. Featuring an art competition open to all. This event highlights the businesses and boutiques in this unique neighborhood, including legendary shops such as: The Alt, Via’s Vintage Wear, Minneapolis Floral, and Fifth Element.

A special feature of this event includes a unique arts competition at The Art Major. Students of any kind may submit work which best answers the question, WHO or WHAT is MPLS? The contest will be judged from an all-star panel of who’s who in the Twin Cities Arts Scene.

Now, I’m not in the least bit artistic, so I won’t be entering anything, despite the promise of fabulous prizes. But I’m all about the block party. Because there are not enough block parties in the TC in the summer.

The deadline to enter is April 21.
