Two reasons why I love the Snelling-University Midway neighborhood:

1) At the corner of Snelling and Marshall yesterday were large red and yellow signs declaring, “FRESH GULF SHRIMP–$5 PER POUND!” Turning the corner onto Marshall revealed a Chevy pickup truck with coolers in the back, presumably filled with the “fresh” shrimp. Um, no, sir, I do not think I will partake of your Fresh Gulf Shrimp today. *cough*Buh-grody!*cough*

2) Homeless man standing on the corner of Snelling Ave. and Spruce Tree:
“THROW COINS AT ME 4 FUN!”
Hahahahahaha! Awesome.

I need to start carrying my digital camera with me more often.
