Did anyone go to the People of Faith rally at the Capitol this morning?

This debate in MN has upset me greatly. I am straight, married and I have several gay friends, all of whom deserve the right to marry in my opinion. I fail to see how granting someone legal partnership rights should have anything to do with the bible. Where is our separation of church and state? If you think about it, only 50 years ago people of different races weren’t allowed to marry in some US states! Just when I think our society has come so far, I am reminded that we have far yet to go. I didn’t go to the rally because of work but I’m glad to see there was a healthy turnout.

I was at the People of Faith rally on Thursday. Good turnout and good speakers.

Perhaps while we’re planning to restrict people’s civil rights, we can end women’s sufferage as well!
