out in the cold

I couldn’t just go home after work again, a habit I’ve fallen into since biking season stopped. And I’m not crazy enough to bike in this weather, not to mention that my bike is too nice still. If I get a winter beater bike and some thermals and a face mask and goggles, then maybe.

But I took our lovely Metro Transit bus service, the number 4 to be exact, to Vera’s coffeshop, a place I haven’t haunted in at least a month or two. It’s odd coming in after not being around for such a long time, The art is different, as it has rotated once again. I think I like this new batch. Mostly still-lifes, with Toy Story figures disassembled and scattered around odd landscapes, and a few abstracts.

It’s so cold outside that the windows are almost completely frosted over. Maybe I should’ve gotten coffee instead of a root beer. Ah, well.
