Speaking of movies…

Nate’s entry about art house films reminded me that I’ve been crazy busy lately, and haven’t had any time for moviegoing. I get emailed with what’s playing at the Riverview and at Oak Street, but I never seem to get there.

So, what’s worth seeing, since I’m short on time?

Mirrormask was pretty frickin’ sweet. I would also recommend Good Night, and Good Luck, also Capote which comes out this weekend is supposed to be phenominal. You can start there :)

I was at the Uptown last weekend to see The Muppets Take Manhattan at midnight, and I saw that preview for Mirrormask. It looks pretty sweet, even though I don’t read Neil Gaiman. By the way, I’d like to say that I think it’s ridiculous to pay the full $8 for the midnight movie and I’ll take my happy ass on back to the Riverview, thank you very much.

I used to see movies at the Uptown and Lagoon all the time. I don’t know why I stopped going.

So, uh, no. Sorry. No recommendations.
