Where Exactly Am I?

Interesting Star Trib Editorial: No place like home, but what to call it? - Minneapolis Star Tribune (subscription) that’s relevant to this site. Exactly what do we call the large urban area we live in? Here, we call it Minneapolis, though only 10% of the overall area actually lives in Minneapolis. Others call it the “Twin Cities” and still mean more than Minneapolis and St. Paul. And, calling that small section of the state “Minnesota” does a disservice to the rest of the state. Unfortunately, the conclusion of the editorial doesn’t really offer an answer that will do anything to solve the problem. At least not for those of us in Brooklyn Center.

I’m going to keep calling our entire area the TC (just that, the initials) until we get our own FOX series.

I’m also partial to “the TC.” I started calling it that just because I’m used to referring to (my hometown of) Detroit as “the D.”

I don’t even like the Twins, but I’d get a hat with the TC logo on it.

How about a logo like this:

I could easily put it up on a store for purchase with the price set for no profit.
