Back in the TCCR….um, in the TC
I’m back from my two week Eurotrip, and it feels odd. Everything is the same, but different. And it feels like I’ve been gone long enough that more should have changed by now. Come on, TC, let’s get going! Dig those trenches for an underground system! Finish that Central Library and new Guthrie! Something that pretty much every city in Europe that I went to had, which I don’t think would go over as well is a Marionette Theater. Like actual legitimate theatre being done with marionettes. I’m not sure what size they were, and I think we should’ve gone to at least one perfomance, but we were always doing something else. We could’ve seen Carmen, Don Giovanni or the Magic Flute that I know of, probably others. I guess the closest we have is Heart of the Best Puppet Theater. Although they don’t do opera, do they? It would be interesting to see how they’d do it. They’d probably have to do it in conjunction with Theatre de la Jeune Lune or something.
