Target 1

Everyone knows that the original Target store (Target 1) resided at the corner of Snelling and County B in Roseville, MN. But now, its gone. Only to be replaced by a Super Target (eventually)! Now, I’m not one for corporate cheerleading, but if you have to shop at a multinational, it should at least be local. Super Target 1 will be a good deal for me. I live near the Grain Belt Brewery so there’s no easy access to a Super Target. Rumor has it that it’s slated to open sometime in October.

Remember when there used to be a grocery store in the South half of the building that was Target #1? Over time, the Target grew and took over the entire building. And now they’ve outgrown that, but the grocery store will be back.

I think the Cub behind Har Mar will feel some pain from this. That thing is really tucked out of the way.

I just drove by this new Super Target the other day! It opens October 9th! At least that’s what the huge sign on the outside said. Hooray! I live in St. Paul, and that’d be the closest one to me too!

My wife and I spent a lot of time at Target whilst dating and even more time (and $$$) since. I have to say we were pretty disappointed that the first Target wasn’t a little general store-looking building. It would be really cool if they had one corner of the store that looks just like a 1962 Dayton’s Target!
