Nice my patootie…

First off, I’m not sure patootie is a word. With that being said, I really am sick of people and there perception of Minnesota nice. Most Minnesotans are not nice. They get angry over the dumbest crap!! I went to the sneak preview of “Flightplan” tonight. Not a very good movie, by the way. This woman was upset because a few old people got in line infront of her when people started gathering. They were meeting with friends and were REALLY old. This woman crabbed about it for a good ten minutes and even cut me off to get the drop on them. Why complain lady? We were at the front of the line for goodness sake!! You better hurry up because those realy fast old people might take one of 400 seats that were available to you when you walked into the theater. I had to laugh at her. I bet she didn’t even notice how silly she sounded. Even when I laughed right at her. Silly woman…

Even though it may label me as “not nice,” I always tell people like that how rude they are. Usually they are so embarrassed they shut up.

Oh, and “Minnesota Nice” is really defined “nice to your face, complain behind your back.”

I remember someone comparing New Yorkers to Minnesotans saying that New Yorkers are viewed as rude, but alot of the time aren’t actually, they will just say what they think right there and then instead of prentending.”New Yorkers will stab you in the front whereas Minnesotans will stab you in the back” is how she described it.
