Hurricane Katrina Donation Drop Off Site

Hope for the City and Edina Realty have a donation station set up at 6800 France Ave S. That’s the parking lot next to Pizzeria Uno, across France from Southdale Mall. The hours are 10 am to 6 pm and they’ll be there ’til Tuesday Monday.

Not sure if they’re collecting cash, but they’re definitely taking clothing, toiletries, non-perishable food items and water. Stuff like that. Although, everything I’ve read says most charities can probably use the cash more than the stuff right now. But in case you had some stuff stashed for Goodwill (as I do), maybe take it here instead. (info pilfered from)

UPDATE: All the info is here. There’s also a drop off station in the north lot of the Mall of America, at selected CarX locations around town.

Also, if you’re inclined to make a cash donation, check with your employer to see if they’re matching. My employer is, so I’ll be donating to the Red Cross.
