Better late than never…

All week I have been in a kind funk because of the events that have happened down in the southern U.S. I went into work and just walked around. I read the newspaper and cried just about every day. So many horrible things have happened surrounding the hurricain that really made me feel bad about us as a human race. I know it seems like jumping on a band wagon, but I just really want to give a shout out to all the folks in NOLA who are living with this tradgety. I think it’s the fact that a large portion of these people are going to be displaced from there known homes for months. That would just be such a crazy, surreal expierience and i don’t know how I would handle it.

Our very own Metblogging site in NOLA has been dilligently following the goings on and posting about them. It is a very interesting thing to read and really worth a look. I have given a donation to the Red Cross. It was the least I could do. I would ask that everyone try and do something for them. Even if it is writting a message to a person you don’t know on a blog giving them support. It would mean a lot to them.

The NOLA Metblog coverage has been fantastic. I can’t even comprehend what it’s like to be in the middle of all that. I just hope that the people that are still trapped there get some help soon.
