My Nose Was Running
But it was special all the same. I haven’t really smooched my way around town, but I do have a fondness in my heart for a little neighborhood park at 24th and Colfax.
My car was in the shop, and my girlfriend was shepherding me around town that day. We had breakfast at Uptown Diner and still had time to kill before I had to pick up my car and she had to go to class, so we walked around the area and happened across this playground.
We climbed on things, we sang songs from The Sound of Music (my favoritest movie ever), she gave me a piggy back ride, and we kissed, leaning up against the wall between the non-functioning drinking fountain and the non-accessible restroom.
And it was February, so I had a bit of a runny nose in the cold. Real romantic, eh?
(Other cool places to kiss: Roofs of parking garages. Seriously. The St. Joseph’s Hospital parking garage in downtown St. Paul. The St. Thomas parking garage in downtown Minneapolis. Don’t laugh. I’m totally serious.)
P.S. MNspeak asks a similar question.
