So, Nate threw down the gauntlet: where is the best place to kiss in Minneapolis?

This may be a bit cliche, but I enjoy walking and windowshopping with my beau on Nicollet Mall downtown. Whether smooching at Peavy Plaza on a summer afternoon, or strolling after a fine dinner on a cool evening, I love it.

There’s an old-time sophistication to the marble-sided buildings and big display windows that I adore, but there’s plenty of cozy doorways or benches to sneak a kiss. I’ll save the heavy make-out sessions for more intimate settings, thanks.

I’ve always liked kissing in the rain on any of the bridges over the Mississippe River, especially the Marshall/Lake Street bridge.

My favorite Minneapolis kissing moment to date: wandering the sculpture garden during the intermission from a play at the Guthrie, climbing on the big iron sculpture with the giant swing under it, trying very hard not to lose my balance and fall off. *sigh*
