You’d have to be blind not to have noticed this campaign from BlueCross BlueShield of MN. It’s everywhere.

Just when I thought I was numb to the message and had tuned out all of the TV ads and billboards, they got my attention.

On 7th street just north of Hennepin downtown, they have a billboard about 3 stories above street level with a GINORMOUS mirrored disco ball hanging from it (4-5 feet in diameter). Big ol’ spotlights on it, filling the street with little squares of spinning light. I guess if you’re going for conspicuous…that’d do it.

I didn’t have a camera with me when I saw it, but I’ll try to snap a shot of it before the sign comes down. It’s cute.

    The best one of these ads I have seen was on a bus, showed an exercise machine, and said “Be the StairMaster of your own domain”. I have to go check out the disco ball now.
