Where Am I Living Now?

I’ve been in the Twin Cities for going on 10 years sometime soon. I came here with every intention of cotinuing on to another place. Turns out, I love it here. I complain about the cold, the heat, etc…but we all do. Minneapolis is home.

I was sitting outside Bob’s Java Hut earlier this evening with a friend (Originally from here, but has since moved to San Francisco for his job) discussing the fact that Minneapolis suddenly has a “Midtown”.

I feel I should preface the rest of this for those who don’t know by mentioning that “Uptown” is down from “Downtown” and “Downtown” is up from “Uptown”. That said, I find that instead of near Uptown, I now live in between Uptown and the newly-dubbed Midtown. Upper-Midtown? Middle-Uptown? I dunno.

Whatever I decide to call this part of town, it’s still Minneapolis and I love it. I’m glad the Minneapolis Metblog is up and running. It looks like we ave a great bunch of people on board.
